Rovanperä won seven of today’s nine stages, while Evans won the first stage and Fourmaux was the fastest in the last superspecial in Tartu. The world championship leading Finnish Toyota rider was untouchable throughout the day. He expects to start tomorrow’s six races 29.1 seconds ahead of teammate Elfyn Evans.
Kalle Rovanperä – Nagyon élveztem a mai napot. Ma reggel úgy éreztem, hogy nincs túl sok tapadás, de aztán változtattunk a beállításokon, és elkezdtünk igazán jó időket autózni. Minden egyes szakaszon sikerült gyorsulnunk, álltam a gázon, de nem túl nagy kockázatot vállalva. Úgy éreztem, mindent kézben tartok. Amikor az idei szezonban, alacsony tapadású körülmények között voltunk, mindig jól tudtam vezetni és mindig elég gyors is tudtam lenni, mint ma is. Holnap hosszú napunk lesz, szóval jó tempót kell autóznunk, hiba nélkül.
I enjoyed today a lot. To begin with this morning I felt there was not so much grip, but then we changed the setup a bit and we started to have really good times. Every stage we were gaining a bit more time, and pushing hard but not with too much risk. Everything felt in control. Whenever we’ve had tricky low-grip conditions this year it seems that I’m able to drive well and still push quite hard and this has been nice. Tomorrow is a long day still, so we need to keep a good pace with no mistakes
